BMS Serial cards require a two step set-up process. For all serial cards, refer to the Technician Menu section of this guide and set the Protocol, Baud Rate, and Identity parameters as required. This controls the controller's communication with the serial card.
Points lists are available on the website. Your card may be loaded with a CSV file with points names (BACnet cards) or an XIF file (legacy LON cards) as well.
For BACnet IP or MSTP cards, additional setup procedures are required as described herein.
For additional information on BACnet IP cards and additional functionality, including email capabilities or webpages, refer to pCOWeb User's Manual.

After the controller has completed its start-up cycle (allow up to five minutes for serial card and controller to complete start-up), the serial card parameters may be set. Hold the ENTER and ALARM buttons on the display terminal simultaneously to access the system information menu.
To navigate to the parameter selections, scroll down to OTHER INFORMATION and press enter. Scroll to PCOWEB/NET CONFIG and press enter again.
Once the card information populates, the serial card parameters can be viewed and adjusted. Change any parameters as required to communicate with your front end, using the enter and arrow buttons to adjust parameters and scroll through the screens.
When all of the parameters have been set, the final screen will say PCONET or PCOWEB CONFIG ENABLE. Select YES to confirm your new parameters. When the display indicates reboot is required, cycle power on the unit.
Status LED: The left hand LED indicates the BACnet serial card's communication status with the controller. This light should be flashing green when the serial card and controller are communicating. If this LED is not flashing after start-up, verify card information in the technician menu.
RS-485 LED: For BACnet MSTP connections, the RS-485 LEDs indiciate communication with the front end/connected device. If the card is communicating properly, this LED will flash green with occasional red flashes. Solid LEDs indicate no communication.
Ethernet LED: For BACnet IP/Ethernet connections, the LED will be green and flash when data transmits.
