MULTI-UNIT SEQUENCING

Systems may be purchased with a multi-unit sequencing option. This option allows up to 8 units to be linked together and operate in unison. Units will rotate based on alarm, based on a weekly schedule, and additional units may be set to assist if cooling loads exceed the expected level.

UNIT & DISPLAY ADDRESSING

NOTE: New units are pre-addressed at the factory. Match the labeled displays with their appropriate units. You should not need to address the units in the field.

In order to address the displays and controllers, the following steps must be followed. Do not complete the interconnecting wiring connections between the units until all units have been addressed.

Controller Addressing

  1. Hold the three arrows on the right side of the display. After 3-5 seconds, the display will change to indicate Display Address Setting. Change this to 00 and press enter.
  2. After the display address has been changed, cycle the unit's power.
  3. While the unit is restarting, hold the up and alarm buttons simultaneously. The unit will display a self-test screen. Continue holding the buttons until you see the pLAN Address.
  4. Set the pLAN address for the controller you are currently addressing.
  5. After the screen goes blank or displays NO LINK, cycle power.

Display Addressing

  1. Allow 3-5 minutes after the unit restarts to address the display. Hold the three arrows on the right side of the display. After 3-5 seconds, the display will change to indicate Display Address Setting.
  2. Change the display address setting to the address associated with the controller you are working on.
  3. Change the I/O Board address to the address of the current controller. Press enter.
  4. Press enter to go to the display terminal configuration.
  5. Set TRM1 to match the current display and set as private. Change okay? to yes and press enter.

After all of the controllers and displays have been addressed, connect the interconnecting wires between the units.

PLAN SETTINGS

The following settings are set in the Technician Menu to govern the multi-unit sequence operation.

  • Qty Units: Number of networked units.
  • Qty Active: Number of networked units running simultaneously (the rest are standby).

  • Rotation Schedule: The master unit is rotated on the schedule provided here: weekly, biweekly, or monthly at the day of the week and time indicated.
  • Cool Assist: If activated, when the master unit indicates that the temperature is remaining elevated above set point by this amount for the indicated time delay, additional units will be brought online to meet set points.
